About Eastfield House Day Care
Eastfield House provides specialist, professional day care in a welcoming, homely environment.
Our day care normally runs Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm but other days and times can be arranged. Please call us for details.
If you are seeking day care for yourself or for a loved one, we urge everyone to come and try it and find out what we have to offer. This gives us the chance to assess your needs and gives you the opportunity to get to know us…
Eastfield House has been recently refurbished to an extremely high standard.
We offer flexible day care, from as little as an hour a day, to people from Scarborough and the whole of the Yorkshire coast and Ryedale.
We are an approved carer for North Yorkshire County Council and, depending on your circumstances, the local authority might be able to support you. We also take referrals from other health care professionals, as well as private clients.
All our caring, fully-trained staff are CRB checked and experienced in tailoring care to individual needs that ensures dignity, independence and choice.
We put the happiness and well-being of our visitors first. We work with you, your family and other care professionals to give you a pleasant day that meets your needs and we also regularly review your care plan.
At Eastfield House you can:
• Sit down to a tasty, nutritious lunch
• Relax and watch TV or a film
• Play a game, have a chat, join in organised activities
• Enjoy hobbies and crafts
• Try out some exercise or a massage
• Take a shower
• Have your hair done
• Meet new friends
• Potter in our pleasant, enclosed garden.
We can also offer, by appointment: chiropody, hairdressing and complimentary therapies. For an additional charge, Eastfield House can provide personal laundry, shopping and bed changing services too.
All our visitors are encouraged to join in as much or as little as they wish or enjoy some quiet time, with plenty of care staff on hand.
Day care, in a friendly, homely environment is a fantastic way for people with physical and mental health care needs to retain their independence, banish social isolation and loneliness and enjoy a better quality of life. Stimulating activities ensure that our visitors’ mental and physical well-being is also addressed, whilst adding to the fun of a day visit.
A period of day care is also the perfect way for a carer to enjoy a little respite time to themselves, safe in the knowledge that their loved one is being well looked after and enjoying themselves too!
We hold special days to celebrate things like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Red Nose Day and other occasions.
Luncheon Club
Eastfield House also runs a very popular luncheon club every Thursday from 12noon to 2pm. This offers you the chance to enjoy a home-cooked, tasty and nutritious meal and have a chat with some new friends.
